3.  Director's Report

Time was provided to review the report. Discussion was held about the executive order from the government impacting the IMLS and how this could potentially affect this library. We are funded solely with the State Library of Ohio PLF.

No start date yet from Schwartz for pole barn construction in the lot next to the library.

There are plans to apply for a GOO (Guiding Ohio Online) grant to pay for the libraries of Mount Gilead, Selover, and Perry Cook to share a technology trainer. 75% would be funded from the grant and 25% would be split between the libraries. Cardington has maxed out their technology grant application capability at 5 years so they cannot join in this collaboration. If this is approved, Perry Cook will have 8 hours, Selover 8 hours, and 16 hours at Mount Gilead per week. The goal will be to offer appointments, drop ins, and classes for technology for patrons. This technology person would be an independent contractor not a library employee receiving library benefits.

Jen is applying for an LSTA grant for the Summer Reading Program.

Mead's Masonry started today on the side ramp repairs. This will be paid from our funding.
