Tech Help

About Technology Assistance

Perry Cook Memorial Library has a Digital Literacy Trainer available for one-on-one tech help sessions to help solve your technology issues. Help is not just limited to library resource questions -- you can get help with general computer questions, phone or laptop issues, and/or app and software problems.

Beginning in August, 2026, our Digital Literacy Trainer will be leading computer programming and technology classes and programs at Mount Gilead Public Library, Selover Public Library, and Perry Cook Memorial Library. Tech appointments and classes will be on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month.

What Do One-on-One Sessions Cover?

There is no set curriculum. Come with a problem or task that you would like to learn or need help with and our Digital Literacy Trainer will work through the issue with you.

For example, you can get help:

  • Setting up a new device
  • Learning a computer program
  • Finding useful apps or learning to use apps you already have installed
  • Building comfort using your smart phone, lap top, or tablet
  • and More!

What to Bring?

You can use your own device or use a library desktop, if applicable.

Make sure you bring or know any account information/passwords if you need help with apps.
