Board of Trustees Meeting

August 13, 2024

1. Call to Order

Meeting was called to order by Mary Roush at 7:02 pm. Roll call was taken and present were Annie Fraizer, secretary, and board members Michelle Fidler, Paul Sipes, Travis Dean and Julie Rhea. Nicole Meyers fiscal officer was absent. Jennifer Gliebe, director, was present. Mary Jobe was absent.

2. Minutes

2.1 Regular August 13, 2024

Time was provided for those present to review the August 2024 minutes. Paul made a motion to accept the minutes, Michelle seconded. All voted in favor.

3. Director's Report

Time was provided for review.

Highlights discussed were Perry ProTech will come to pick up the previously used Xerox machine as this contract is now complete. Summer Reading Program was considered successful gauged by the amount of participation and feedback received from participants. Jen will provide a staff survey for feedback for next year's program.

The library has received 6 applications for aides. Jen will conduct interviews for this position as well as 1 coordinator interview.

4. Fiscal Officer's Report

4.1 Monthly Reconciliation

Time was provided for review with questions answered by Nicole. Travis motioned to pay the bills and Michelle seconded.

5. Old Business

5.1 Personnel

A motion was made to enter executive session by Julie to discuss personnel at 7:29 pm. Paul seconded this. All present voted in favor of going into session.

A motion was made to come out of executive session by Julie at 8:18 pm. Travis seconded this. All present voted in favor of coming out of session.

6. New Business

Paid Time Off (PTO) will increase from 25 hours to 30 hours per employee as of 0/01/2025. PTO can be used as the staff member desires; vacation, sick, etc. New pay rates were discussed for staff. Travis made a motion for pay rates to take effect for the pay period beginning 09/30/2024, Julie seconded. All voted in favor. See attached chart for updated pay rates.

7. Consent Resolutions

7.1 Small Donations Taken at the Register July

Julie motioned to accept small donations in the amount of $27.20, Travis seconded. All voted in favor.

8. Adjournment

Julie motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:26 pm, Travis seconded. All voted in favor.
