Perry Cook Memorial Public Library

Board of Trustees Meeting

June 10, 2025

1.) Call to Order

At 7:08 pm, the meeting was called to order by Mary R. Roll call was taken and present were Mary Jobe, vice president, Annie Fraizer, secretary, and board members Michelle Fidler, Paul Sipes, Travis Dean, and Julie Rhea. Nicole Meyers, fiscal officer, was present. Jennifer Gliebe, director, was present.

2.) Minutes

2.1 Time was provided to review minutes. Motioned to accept minutes by Julie, seconded by Mary R. All present voted in favor.

3.) Director's Report

Highlights from the reports discussed included the following: Accessibility grant funding provided money for ramp repairs. Chris McGinnis ES Consulting met with Jen. She asked him about a cheaper service for the library's tech needs. There have been lots of compliments from patrons on the library's decor for the Summer Reading Program. Bill Miller updated Jen that the requested state corrections are now complete, and they are ready to start but no date set.

4.) Fiscal Officer's Report

4.1 Monthly Reconciliation

Insurance needs were reviewed by Nicole prior to the meeting. She answered questions about the policy. Also, discussed the library's insurance deductible with those in attendance in favor of leaving it at $1000.

Jen will ask Bill Miller if their materials are insured once they start to build the building for the potential of stolen tools, supplies, etc.

5.) Old Business

Mary motioned to go into executive session at 7:34 pm, Michelle seconded. All voted yes to go into executive session.

Come out of executive session: Mary motioned, Julie seconded at 8:10 pm.

Motion made by Mary R. and Travis seconded to change posting to full time $52,000 to $55,000 based on experience to attract additional candidates. A post will also be made for Christine's newly open position.

6.) New Business

The food pantry building is coming tomorrow and will be set up by Mary R.

7.) Consent Resolutions

7.1 Small donations at the register May ($33.75). Motion made to accept by Julie and seconded by Travis.

Motion made to adjourn by Michelle, Travis seconded at 8:13 pm.
