Children's Programming

At PCML we believe that the library is a gateway to education.  We plan and present programming that gives parents, as a baby's first teacher, the tools and skills to build a print rich environment in the home.  We support family and early literacy by presenting programs for toddlers through high school.  We are especially proud of our A2Z program, which is a school-year long program that works with 4 year-olds on letter recognition, phonemic awareness, fine and gross motor skills and socialization, all to help "our kids" get ready for kindergarten.

Summer programming revolves around the Summer Reading Club, which not only encourages children to keep up their reading skills over the summer, but offers all kinds of programming, all through the week.  Crafts, movies, special presentations all make for a great summer.

Please check out our events calendar for a full listing of upcoming events and activities.  We'd love to see you.
